Animal Head brooches were unique to the island of Gotland Sweden during the Viking Age. The original brooch is in Swedish National Museum ~900-1100. The brooch tongue spring stainless steel, much thinner than the original broochs' bronze or iron tongues so it won't damage modern tighter weave fabrics.Animal Head brooches are made in two pieces and the base and top are hand riveted together, I don't charge for the band aids and colorful words used while completeing the riveting process. Size: 52 mm long x 30 mm side. Priced and Sold in pairs.
